Diageo conditions of use

This online service is provided by Link, whose full name is Link Market Services Trustees Limited. This online service is provided by Link to enable you to provide sale instructions for SIP5+ shares to Diageo Share Ownership Trustees Limited, the plan trustee of the employee share plan in which you participate.

Please only continue to use this online service if you agree to the following:

Your sale instructions are to be treated as an instruction to the plan trustee to sell some or all of your shares held by the plan trustee. These sale instructions are irrevocable.

You agree that any decision to proceed is at your own risk and that you will not subsequently be able to make any claim against Diageo plc, the plan trustee or Link in respect of the price at which the shares are sold.

You will only proceed with the sale of the proposed shares if  (1) you are not subject to any restrictions ; and (2)  all necessary permissions have been obtained from Diageo plc to deal, if you are required to do so.

Fees will apply in respect of the sale of your shares and that these will be deducted from the gross sale proceeds. You will be notified of the fee before committing to trade.

By providing this facility to communicate your instructions to the plan trustee, Link is not undertaking a regulated activity, and as such you will not benefit from regulatory protections such as the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

The decision to sell your shares is taken entirely at your own risk. Nothing on this website or documentation should be construed as professional, financial or investment advice and must not be used as a basis for making decisions. If you are in any doubt as to how to proceed or as to how your shares may affect your tax situation, you should seek advice from a suitably qualified professional advisor.

Risk warning: Remember the price of shares can go down as well as up, and you are not guaranteed to get back the amount that you originally invested.
